Newly married and energetic for service in His kingdom, they brought happiness with them. All who knew them loved them. We are saddened to learn of his passing at such an age of life. One of the things that John loved and we loved him for was his song directing. My wife and I always agreed that no one could direct the congregation in "He Will Pilot Me" quite as well as John. We trust that he continued to make the words of the song his standard for life's direction: "I know that Jesus is my Friend,"..."By His hand He'll pilot me,"..."what-e'er the storm may be, I'll simply trust in Thee." Our best to Leanne and the children, the parents and extended families on both sides, and the congregation in Oxford.
